Patchwork Denim is definitely on trend for spring and you can never go wrong with a signature crisp, white button-up, but this spring its all about a redux with plenty of high-fashion twists on on the original menswear inspired staple: buttoned up, layered, slashed and patched it’s easy to find your own perfect chic-girl Spring essential.
I am obsessed with these Current Elliot Patchwork Denim jeans! They fit like a glove and don’t stretch out, which is one of my biggest pet peeves in denim. There are so many options out there right now for everyone and every body type and it adds great visual appeal and texture that you can dress up or down. I even wore mine to church yesterday with some black sandals, black and white striped tank and a black Helmut Lang blazer.
Veronica Beard makes some amazing pieces and she always incorporates in to her collection some button up tops that have a unique twist. I found this top this fall with buttons in the front and back with the fun striped rust-colored crop built right over it! It has great gold button detailing at the shoulders as well. She has some beautiful pieces for Spring! And don’t mind my tag hanging out here while I get some cuddles from my lil’ man!
I love this look it’s casual yet still polished, with a little bit of quirkiness thanks to the layered crop on the shirt. I wore my go-to Donald J Pliner snakeskin booties that are so comfortable and easy to chase after a toddler in while still giving a little bit of lift in the chunky heel. My mother in law gave me this Michael Kors bag two Christmas’ ago and it’s a great neutral bag and I love the color blocking – which has seriously been a repeat offender trend! It was a little crisp and cool in the early and later parts of the day so I toted along this Yves Solomon fur vest that is just everything! It has a range of browns and taupes in the fur so it pairs beautifully with so many looks!
For my mini me I paired these great rust-colored denim jeans from H&M and his Frye leather shoes for a casual look and topped it with a denim button up from H&M as well to coordinate with the denim from my look. I love the color pairing here on him! There are lots of great patchwork denim options for kids right now too. Theo has the Top Pick! linked below. I’m a huge fan of hats and threw this one on to balance out the rust color in his look. This kid loves trucks and cars and anything with wheels! I found this awesome dump truck at a Homegoods for Christmas on major sale, but I linked it from two places below if you know a little dude that needs one!
