Spring into Summer with overalls and suspenders for your next mommy and me casual outfit! Overalls are a fun style choice to highlight those off the shoulder tops while it’s still not hot as a dog out, while suspenders are a sure way to add a little style swag to your mini. Suspenders are an instant style hit with anyone for your kids. I honestly never pull them up over his shoulders to give him the cool dude casual outfit vibe. You can find shorts and jean options nowadays where they come with the pair of suspenders like these did here or you can purchase suspenders by themselves and simply add them to any pair of shorts or jeans for an instant style addition! I’ve linked them below and just check out Zara kids site for plenty of suspenders options.
Personally I’m obsessed with overalls for a great fun casual look! I posted these in the fall with Theo in our Mini Mickey Mouse post with a cool fitted sweater and beanie. I get so many compliments on these overalls and they have the perfect amount of stretch! I love the slim leg because it’s so easy to pair with a heel, flat, sandal or bootie so it ensures you can easily transition these overalls between styles and seasons which adds to the life and wear of your overalls. I’m honestly surprised they still have this same style available of overalls, so hurry and snag your own! Overalls are also a unique and fun way to sport your off the shoulder tops. Clearly there’s already attention being drawn to your shoulders and I feel like the overalls straps kind of highlight that while almost playing coy at the fact that your baring them! I obviously dressed up my casual outfit look with these fun fringe sandal heels, but hey they are so worth it! They are such a fun splash of color, but you can always opt for a great flat or sandal.
Theo’s Threads have seriously been on repeat! (I posted an instagram photo of him outside next to the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM here in Dallas a few weeks back). His Nana bought him this bomber jacket a while back from Gap Kids and he finally grew in to it. It’s seriously the cutest and perfect weight for Spring for any casual outfit or even a more dressed up one! I’ve linked an awesome grey and leather bomber jacket below from H&M that I have been eyeing along with a couple others. His fedora is so cute for tons of outfits with the light blue bandana around the hat! His shirt is from JCrew and says “Top Dog” with a bulldog that looks like ours, her name is Jordan!
We went out to Trinity Groves to check out the scene over there because I have yet to have gone! It’s such a cool little area with some great restaurants and you have the most perfect view of downtown and the Mary Hunt Bridge. The walking bridge is really fun too. And don’t worry, we took those picture of Theo standing at the very beginning of the walkway and there is literally grass still right there below him, theres not an actual huge drop off – yet. We took the pictures there so we could get the bridge in frame plus he was pointing out all the trucks driving by. If you haven’t been in Trinity Groves yet I highly recommend going to check it out! Have a great rest of your week and thanks for stopping by! xoxo
