Hahaha, we were sitting enjoying our cotton candy when this family sat down to play the water gun game so obviously I had to pay for Theo to or he would have been like “what the heck mom??!” and wouldn’t you know we won LOL! So here’s the snake we chose and the lady in the background is asking her husband for more money so she and her kids can all play again! OMG insert crying emoji! haha
Pacific Wheel Fun! As many times as I’ve been here it was my first time to go on the Ferris Wheel and it was so fun!
Off to the Beach!
I mean c’mon kid! You are just TWO COOL… those curls never get old!
Having fun chasing and running away from the waves. This was AFTER he RAN into the water with his Adidas Superstars on lol. They are still waiting to be washed!
We were in LA a week ago and it was the best worst trip… if that can even be a thing LOL. We were going to meet Tyler who was flying back from Korea Theo and I flew in Saturday the 23rd and it was suppose to be a 10pm flight, buttttt we were about 2 hours delayed so we basically landed in LA after 3am Texas time. With a two year old who didn’t sleep the whole flight! What the heck, luckily he was actually really really really good until landing and he just didn’t want to be in a seat belt because he was so tired and wanted to cuddle and couldn’t. So I literally sat leaned over hugging him and humming to him to soothe him while he hugged me and patted on my back haha. Ok so we hotel hopped for two days, not easy with a toddler and a compact car mind you, then finally linked up with our friends in LA we were staying with the remainder of our week.
The kicker. Two days in and someone steals my wallet from the diaper bag, closed mind you, sitting right next to us while at lunch. So I spent the remainder of the afternoon at LAPD and getting a girlfriend to mail me my Passport. I literally couldn’t even go anywhere because I lost all my cash and credit cards… including Tyler’s two main ones. Shoot me in the foot. Sheesh could it get any more frustrating. Duh. The day after that whole frustrating issue the guys left in the morning for the gym and took the vehicle with the carseat in it. Ugggggh. I know it obviously wasn’t on purpose, but it was just on top of an already frustrating week. We’ve all been there!
Literally on our last day there, I finally had an ID, cash, and a temporary replacement debit card and took Theo to breakfast and then we hit up Santa Monica Pier for some fun! Although slightly hot for LA we had so much fun people watching, eating junk food and riding rides. There were a bunch of helicopters flying so low to the water and beach right by the pier and Theo was ecstatic! We rode the Ferris Wheel which I’m so glad we did, because I almost opted not to. We played the water gun game and won against a family of four after getting in last minute lol! That image of Theo holding the snake prize and her holding out her hand to her husband asking him for more money so they can all play again cracks me up. I never expected to win with Theo’s hands on the buttons.
We had so much on the Santa Monica Beach and Theo loved walking towards the water and then we would run back up when the waves rolled in. I snapped a few picks and when I wasn’t expecting it he darted off to the water as the wave was rolling in. It washed over his feet just as I snatched him up and ran back to safety. I had to pull his shoes and socks off because they were soaked and took mine off just in case. We ran around the sand and shores for a while before heading back to literally do a quick shower and pack and then grabbed an uber to the airport! I don’t know if I’ve ever felt so rushed even though we had like 3 hours before our flight on our way to the airport. All in all our trip was great I just wish I could have taken Theo out a little more while we were there, but every bday with my mini is always a blessing!
